CHICAGO-INSPIRED HUES AMONG 2000'S TOP COLORS

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Wireless Flash) -- Chicago apparently has a lot of local color because the city has just inspired two new shades for the new year. The Color Marketing Group, which decides in advance the colors and shades that will be used for furnishings, appliances and wall treatments, predicts that "Chicago Fire" and "Windy City" will be two of 2000's top colors. "Chicago Fire" is described as a "blue-based red with holographic glitter that sparkles like it's on fire. "Windy City" is a blue-tinted gray. The organization also predicts something called "Clearwater Blue" will be popular because it's "the quintessential blue of the picture-perfect dream vacation."
