PETS TO REVOLT IF LEFT ALONE TONIGHT?

TORONTO (Wireless Flash) -- An animal revolt of "cat-astrophic" proportions could go down tonight if pet owners aren't careful. The Humane Society of Canada claims a mysterious group of pets known only as "Party Animals 2000" may create all sorts of mischief if their owners leave them home alone for New Year's Eve. The group's president, Michael O'Sullivan, claims cats will strategically hack up hairballs, parrots will go on "dive bombing" missions and dogs will start giving the silent treatment to owners. Although his tongue is firmly in cheek, O'Sullivan says he hopes the publicity stunt will draw attention to the serious issue of pet neglect -- but the stunt may not be as farfetched as you think. Back in the 1970s, British military intelligence supposedly conducted a mind-control operation called "Project Pet," in which cats were trained to psychologically force their owners into commiting murder.
