POOPER SCOOPER `PETIQUETTE' ADVICE

POOPER SCOOPER `PETIQUETTE' ADVICE

PALM BEACH, Fla. (Wireless Flash) -- A Florida woman is tackling social dilemmas of the four-legged kind with something she calls "petiquette." Etiquette expert Audrey Kardon says animals may operate by different rules than humans, but it's still possible to teach them manners. First up, she says pet owners should prevent their dogs from sniffing each others rear ends at all costs -- an activity she describes as extremely impolite. There's also proper "petiquette" in the use of pooper scoopers: Kardon says after you pick up the doggie waste, you should also disinfect the sidewalk with an antibacterial spray or gel. She claims pet owners who don't follow these rules are committing a real "faux pas" because animal waste can spread all sorts of diseases. Kardon will tackle other "petiquette" issues at a special seminar to be held this weekend in Palm Beach, Florida.
