PEOPLE IN GLASS HOUSES BECOMING A REALITY

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- The phrase "people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" will be more than just a figure of speech in the near future. That's according to Susan Szenasy (suh-nah-zee), editor of "Metropolis" magazine, who says technology has advanced to the point where it's possible to build entire homes out of glass. She says glass is actually stronger than some types of steel and makes a great building material. Owners of glass houses in the future will be able to protect their privacy by flicking a switch that darkens the glass. Meanwhile, temperatures inside the see-through houses will be kept comfortable by the reflection of sunlight in the summer and the absorption of heat in the winter. More proof the glass houses could be just around the corner: There's already a subway stop in Tokyo made completely out of glass.
