AUSTRALIANS WANT MOUNTAIN TO BE NAMED AFTER BIGFOOT

CANBERRA, Australia (Wireless Flash) -- The tallest mountain in Australia could soon be named after Bigfoot if one man Down Under has his way. Bigfoot expert Tim Bull is mounting a drive to rename Mt. Kosciuszko after an Australian Bigfoot known as the "dooligarl." The creature supposedly makes the 7300-foot-tall mountain its home. Bull, who prefers being called "Tim, the Yowie Man," hopes to gather at least 100,000 signatures for his petition to change the name of the mountain to "Mt. Dooligarl." He claims it's a better name because of it's aboriginal origins and because it adds a sense of intrigue to Australia's highest point. If all goes as planned, the peak will be christened Mt. Dooligarl, by January 1, 2001 -- which also happens to be Australia's 100th anniversary.
