GRAMMY-NOMINATED PRODUCER WANTS TO BE BOOTED OFFSTAGE

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Most stars hate being cut off in the middle of an acceptance speech -- but one Grammy nominee says he'd welcome a boot in his backside. Producer Walter Afanasieff -- who has been nominated for "Producer of the Year" for his work with Ricky Martin, Barbara Streisand and Kenny G -- admits he's terrified of the thought of walking up to the podium if he wins the award. Shy Walter says he'd feel relieved if Grammy producers were to cut him off in the middle of accepting his award because that means he could stop talking and get offstage pronto. Although he's been responsible for songs like "My Heart Will Go On "and "Beauty and the Beast", he says the reason he became a producer is because he doesn't feel comfortable in front of audiences.
