STOP SNORING WITH A WAD OF TAPE?

FALLS CHURCH, Va. (Wireless Flash) -- An 84-year-old inventor in Falls Church, Virginia, claims he's come up with a way to stop people from snoring. The device consists of a mouth-shaped piece of perforated tape that you place across your mouth -- in essence, you tape your mouth shut. Inventor Tom Wood calls his invention the "Mouth Peace" and says he came up with the idea years ago after his wife complained about his loud snoring. He recently started selling the tape at $29.95 a box. He claims research proves the tape is more effective than those nose strips popularized by athletes, but some snoring experts aren't so sure. Portland-based sleep expert Dr. Ken Rifkin says a piece of tape over your mouth might muffle the noise but won't stop the actual cause of the snoring.
