WILL BASEBALL STARS ALSO HIT POP CHARTS?

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Can a baseball player carry a tune? An upcoming new CD may answer that question. The album -- called "Big League Rocks" -- features musical performances by current and former major leaguers like Bernie Williams, Ozzie Smith and David Wells. Some of the baseball diamond ditties include a jazz instrumental written by Williams called "Eye Of The Storm"; a surf-punk track by Wells called "OB Trolls"; and a rendition of "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" by Chicago Cubs Hall of Famer Ernie Banks. The sports-oriented CD is expected to hit the market mid- March.
