`TUTTI FRUTTI': GEORGIA'S OFFICIAL ROCK SONG?

MACON, Georgia (Wireless Flash) -- NBC's upcoming "Little Richard" movie is music to the ears of a Georgia politician who thinks "Tutti Frutti" should become the states's official rock song. Representative Nicki Randall claims Georgia hasn't done enough to recognize Little Richard, who was born in Macon. If this Sunday's "Little Richard" movie is a ratings winner, Randall says she'll introduce a bill which would declare "Tutti Frutti" the official rock song of Georgia. Ten years ago, Randall's father, William, introduced a similar "Tutti Frutti" bill that was struck down by legislators who felt the song wasn't "wholesome enough." William -- who's now a judge -- says the measure might have passed had he picked "Long Tall Sally" or "Good Golly Miss Molly" -- but he says he was just too stubborn to compromise. Until Georgia officials give the song the "OK," it seems Little Richard fans will continue to sing the blues.
