HAIR METAL REDUX: POISON MAKES A COMEBACK

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Dust off your cans of Aqua Net and sharpen those black eyeliner pencils, because the 1980s hair metal band Poison is making a comeback. That's the word from Capitol Records, which is just about to release a Poison album which was recorded in 1994 but was never released. The record label claims its website has been flooded with e- mail messages from fan begging to hear the "lost album," which is titled "Crack A Smile." The CD -- which will be released March 14 -- will include a cover of the Dr. Hook ditty "Cover of the Rolling Stone" featuring drunken performances by band members Bret Michaels and Rikki Rockett. Poison is also planning a tour for this summer and sources says they may even put together a new album.
