NEW CLONING OPERATION WELCOMES ANIMAL STARS

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash) -- Lassie and other animal stars might be seeing double in the future thanks to a lab that's cloning pets. A newly-formed San Francisco-based company called Genetic Savings & Clone is already receiving calls from Hollywood studios who want to clone their famous animal actors. Lou Hawthorne, president of the company, says his technology makes it possible to create carbon copies of Morris the Cat or the Taco Bell Chihuahua, thereby ensuring studios of an exact image. Although Genetic Savings & Clone is currently taking orders, the company won't begin its cloning operation until its first pet is successfully cloned, which could happen in as little as two months.
