AL JARREAU: `CHORES INSPIRE MY SONGS'

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Talk about clean living: singer Al Jarreau says the best way to write songs is to do chores around the house. Jarreau -- best known for his 1981 hit, "We're In This Love Together" -- says his best songs come to him during mundane activities such as doing the dishes, vacuuming the rug or mowing the lawn. Although the inspiration can be inconvenient, Jarreau tries to keep a tape recorder around at all times so he can record his ideas before he forgets them. Jarreau's latest CD, "Tomorrow Today," will be released March 9, three days before his 60th birthday.
