DELAWARE QUARTERS WORTH $1.12 TO COLLECTORS

HAWTHORNE, N.J. (Wireless Flash) -- If you have any common "cents" you'll want to get your hands on some of those new Delaware quarters. According to New Jersey-based currency expert Andrew Gause, collectors are paying as much as $45 for an uncirculated roll of Delaware quarters which originally cost just $10. That works out to $1.12 per rolled coin, but even a single out-of- the-wrapper Delaware quarter is worth 42 cents. It's all because the Delaware quarter was the first of the state quarters to be issued and collectors snapped them up before the public realized the coins were collectible. Gause says if prices continue as they are, Delaware quarters could be selling for $100 or more within fifty years.
