YELLOW AND BLACK BEST COLORS FOR CAMPAIGN POSTERS

PENSACOLA, Fla. (Wireless Flash) -- If John McCain wants to improve his chances against George W. Bush, he should print his campaign posters in shades of yellow and black. According to a University of South Florida political scientist, the most memorable campaign posters are those made with black lettering on a yellow background. Currently, McCain and every other candidate are using red, white and blue campaign posters, which may be patriotic, but according to Dr. W. Gary Howard, they don't help voters remember candidates or their messages. If the candidates want to play dirty, Howard says they might try making posters for their opponents in green and red or black and blue, which are the color combinations least likely to be remembered by voters.
