WORLD'S FIRST BEER ICE CREAM

WORLD'S FIRST BEER ICE CREAM

PHILADELPHIA (Wireless Flash) -- Beer guzzlers who enjoy a cold brew now have another reason to rejoice: A Pennsylvania ice cream company has created the world's first beer-flavored ice cream. It's called "Vanilla Cream Stout" and it's basically vanilla ice cream with swirls of frozen stout beer and chocolate-covered pretzels. The ice cream is being manufactured by Jeremy's MicroBatch and company founder Jeremy Kraus describes the flavor as similar to a glass of dark beer topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Although the boozy ice cream is made with real beer, you can't get drunk because the alcohol is boiled off during the manufacturing process. The company has also created a caffeinated vanilla ice cream called "Wired" which Kraus claims is "...the Jolt Cola of ice creams."
