CAREENING COMMODES TO GO FOR BROKE AT OUTHOUSE RACE

CHATANIKA, Alaska (Wireless Flash) -- Residents of Chatanika, Alaska, will be flushed with excitement this weekend (March 11-12). Each year the town holds its annual "Outhouse Race" in which nearly 100 commode competitors whiz their outhouses on skis down a mile-long track. Organizer Ron Franklin says the race's popularity has overflowed in recent years and he expects at least 20 teams to hop on the pot and take a run this year. The quickest team to squeeze through the finish line made it in just 5 minutes, 27 seconds, a record set four years ago.
