RUSSIAN CRYPTOGRAPHER PREDICTS INTERNET CRASH

CARMEL, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Y2K is behind us, but now comes word the real computer meltdown will be caused by faulty online passwords. Russian cryptographer Ed Romanoff claims the internet is at an imminent risk of being shut down by terrorists because the present system used for passwords is antiquated. Romanoff says the recent internet hacker attacks prove the pass codes are so primitive anyone can break them. Although some companies claim changing your password frequently will reduce the risk of getting hacked, the 58-year-old expert claims that only makes it easier for hackers because all passwords leave "shadows" that can be easily traced. Romanoff claims he's invented a solution called "Verification Identification Code" which supposedly makes passwords 100 percent secure.
