`BAR CAM' LETS NET HEADS TO TAKE VIRTUAL PUB CRAWLS

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Bellying up to the bar is a lot safer these days thanks to three new webcams that let net heads take virtual pub crawls. The cameras are focused on bars in Vancouver, Canada; New York and Brussels and visitors to the Beer.com website can even buy a brew or two for patrons sitting in the pubs. Beer.com president Rocco Rossi says the site is intended for adults only, but some alcohol abuse activists seem concerned. Sue Rusche of National Families in Action fears young children with access to the pub-crawling camera could be influenced by the technology into taking up drinking.
