COUNTRY COMEDIAN PENS JOHN ROCKER BALLAD

NASHVILLE (Wireless Flash) -- A new country song about Atlanta Braves reliever John Rocker doesn't exactly sing his praises. "The Ballad Of John Rocker" criticizes Rocker with lines like "You've got the biggest mouth in baseball/ Nobody can shut you up/ So in New York, even in your street clothes/ You probably oughta wear a cup." Songwriter Tim Wilson -- who co-wrote "The Redneck 12 Days Of Christmas" with Jeff Foxworthy -- admits Rocker's comments are probably no worse than anything he's said -- but he can't believe the baseball player was dumb enough to be quoted. "The Ballad Of John Rocker" will be available to radio stations in the next few weeks and will appear on Wilson's upcoming album, "Hillbilly Homeboys," scheduled for release in May.
