BOOZING IT UP CAN CAUSE ASTHMA ATTACKS

NEDLANDS, Australia (Wireless Flash) -- This won't make asthma sufferers breathe any easier, but a new study suggests they may want to "just say no" to booze. Researchers at the University of Western Australia report 42 percent of asthmatics suffer allergic reactions after drinking alcohol. Red wine causes the most problems, while beer triggers the fewest allergic reactions. Doctors say more research is needed to figure out the exact reason why alcohol causes so much trouble for asthmatics. The study appears in the latest issue of the "Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology."
