WILL HILARY SWANK'S OSCAR AWARD ENCOURAGE DRAG KINGS

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash) -- Hilary Swank's Oscar-winning portrayal of a girl who thinks she's a guy may start a cross-dressing trend with females. That's according to professional "drag king" Leslie Einhorn, who dresses up like a dude and performs in San Francisco under the name, "Artie Fischel." Einhorn predicts many straight women who never thought about going butch may now be inspired to do so after seeing how Swank was able to look like a fella in the film while appearing feminine at the Oscars. However, the fad may be a drag for some cross-dressers. Einhorn says many drag kings consider the 1993 death of "Boys Don't Cry" inspiration Teena Brandon a tragedy and don't appreciate women stuffing socks in their drawers just for a lark.
