SQUIGGY ACTOR FINDS PERKS IN HAVING MS

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Actor David Lander, who played Squiggy on "Laverne & Shirley," is finding a positive side to his fight with multiple sclerosis. Lander says that ever since he went public about his condition, film folk have made sure to place his dressing room in a prime spot so he doesn't have to walk too far. When it comes to MS, Lander admits his fame is both a blessing and curse because people recognize him whenever he falls down in public -- but then many folks are willing to lend a hand simply because he's "Squiggy." Lander's latest project is a campaign for the Multiple Sclerosis Society's annual charity walk, which takes place in cities all over the U.S. this weekend.
