CANADIAN PASTOR USES VENTRILOQUISM TO PREACH

EDMONTON, Can. (Wireless Flash) -- A pastor in Edmonton, Alberta, has found a unique way to spread the gospel: Ventriloquism. Pastor Sheila Loosley entertains her flock using "Digger," a dummy that resembles a wrinkly dog. Although not too many theologians throw their voices, it's part of Loosley's family tradition: Her brother is a professional ventriloquist in Las Vegas. The 65-year-old says the prop is especially useful for reading church notices which she admits "...can be boring." However, the dummy isn't for all church activities. Pastor Loosley says she won't perform her ventriloquist act at funerals and she won't marry anyone using the dummy unless the ceremony is sacred.
