EASTER NO BREATH OF FRESH AIR FOR ALLERGY SUFFERERS

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash) -- Easter may not be a breath of fresh air for allergy sufferers. That's according to San Diego-based allergy expert Dr. Ron Simon, who says many Easter traditions trigger sneezes and wheezes. The pungent smell of Easter flowers can cause a condition known as "rose fever," which is a flower version of "hay fever." Chocolate Easter Bunnies can cause sneezy sensations because chocolate is chemically similar to histamine, which the body produces during allergic reactions. Also avoid giving live rabbits as pets. Simon says animal fur is one of the biggest allergy producers around.
