100-YEAR-OLD FIDDLER TO DEBUT AT GRAND OLE OPRY

DAYTON, Tenn. (Wireless Flash) -- A 100-year-old fiddler deserves a bow: He will be making his debut at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday (May 5). Centenarian Bob Douglas has been fiddling for nearly 85 years, mostly in the southern part of the United States. Although country fiddling is his specialty, he also loves blues and waltzes. The Opry has invited Douglas to fiddle on the show several times before, but he's turned down the offer until now. The 100 year old says he's excited about Friday's performance and he plans on playing a ditty called "Muddy Road To Ducktown." Also making his first appearance at the Opry will be 12-year-old violinist Jed Bulla.
