DOC INVENTS EXERCISE DEVICE FOR COUCH POTATOES

JERICHO, N.Y. (Wireless Flash) -- A physician in Jericho, New York, has invented an exercise machine for couch potatoes: it automatically scrambles the TV picture unless you continuously pump its foot pedals. Dr. David Delman's "Pedaler" device attaches to any computer, TV or VCR and the bicycle-like pedals require continuous movement or the screen gets scrambled. Delman figures couch potatoes who are afraid of missing even a second of their favorite TV show will gladly keep pedaling until the credits roll. The Pedaler has a retail list price of $159 and will make its official debut next week at the Invention/New Products Expo in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
