J. EDGAR HOOVER WAS BLACK SAYS COUSIN

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Former FBI chief J. Edgar Hoover may have had more in common with John Shaft than Eliot Ness. An African-American woman living in California claims she's uncovered evidence proving that Hoover was part black and is her fourth cousin. Actress Millie McGhee says Hoover's great-grandfather fathered seven children with a black slave -- and one of them was Hoover's grandfather. She claims Hoover threatened to kill anyone who dared to reveal his black ancestry -- including Martin Luther King, Jr. McGhee also says Hoover made sure he never got a woman pregnant because it might have revealed his black ancestry. It also may be where rumors about Hoover being a homosexual got started. McGhee discusses the FBI chief's black past in an upcoming book, "Secrets Uncovered" (Allen-Morris).
