POPULARITY OF PAPER CLOTHES ON A TEAR

TAMPA, Fla. (Wireless Flash) -- Paper dresses were all the rage in the 1960s -- and now they're back on a tear. According to Sophia Asmar of the International Academy of Design in Tampa, Florida, "haute couture" designers are going ga-ga for clothes made out of paper. Chi-chi clothing designers like John Galliano and Alexander McQueen are using shredded, lacquered paper to create funky frocks for fashion layouts and runway shows. Asmar says the paper trend is drawing so much interest that she'll be featuring an entire line of puffy prom-like dresses made from brown butcher paper tomorrow night at a "Millennium Madness" show.
