BOB HOPE'S NOSE: A BETTER SKI JUMP OR SKI SLOPE?

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Comedian Bob Hope turns 97 today and while Bing Crosby used to call Hope "Old ski slope nose," some skiing experts think his nose would make a better ski jump. Tom Carey, a ski jump instructor at Colorado's Winter Park Ski Resort, says Hope's sniffer would actually make a better jump than slope because it has a long consistent approach and enough angle to make for an easy jump. However, Vermont-based ski slope designer Neils Erickson claims Hope's honker is too steep to make a good jump but feels it would be a perfect Olympic-caliber ski trail if Hope's nose were 4000 feet long.
