92-YEAR-OLD BECOMES CULT TV STAR

LONG BEACH, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- A 92-year-old bedspread salesman in Long Beach, California, is living proof old dogs can learn new tricks. 92-year-old Al Greenwood -- who calls himself the "Bedspread King" -- is a consumer reporter for "Comedy Central's Daily Show," where he gripes about every thing from cereal boxes half filled at the factory to not enough urinals in public rest rooms. Now the disgruntled grandpa is a cult hit and Comedy Central is giving him his own special on June 12 entitled "Wrinkled Nuts With Al Greenwood." The 30-minute special will feature segments on oddball senior citizens including Sylvester Stallone's butt-reading mother, Jackie and an oldtimer who wants to become the world's first naked magician. Greenwood says he hopes the show will be a hit, but he admits he's peeved that the producers are pressuring him to do nude scenes.
