TEACHER CHAINS SELF TO SCHOOL TO RAISE $$ FOR FIELD TRIP

JOLIET, Ill. (Wireless Flash) -- A schoolteacher in Joliet, Illinois, is bound and determined to take her students to the Millennium Dome in London -- with an emphasis on "bound." This morning (Jun. 15) Vicki Perella will chain herself to a monument in front of Thomas Jefferson Grade School and won't leave until she rustles up at least $2000 from sympathetic spectators. The shackled schoolmarm says she'll forgo food, water and bathroom breaks to raise money for the trip. Perella has already raised $4000 from bake sales, but she still needs $36,000 to take all 65 students on the journey.
