`CAT IN THE HAT' GOES LATIN

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash) -- Dr. Suess is going Latin thanks to two Latin professors at the University of Kentucky. Jennifer and Terence Tunberg have translated "The Cat In The Hat" into a Latin version titled "Cattus Petasatus" (Bolchazy-Carducci) which will be released later this year. They professors say the hardest part about "Latinizing" "The Cat In The Head" was making the translated version rhyme as well as the original. Two years ago they translated "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" into the tongue-twisting tome: "Quomodo Invidiosulus Nomine Grinchus Christi Natalem Abrogaverit."
