`SURVIVOR' BOOSTS SALES OF MUSKRAT MEAT IN MICHIGAN

RIVER VIEW, Mich. (Wireless Flash) -- The "Survivor" TV series is inspiring "muskrat love" with some diners. It seems sales of Michigan muskrat meat have soared since the island castaways started dining on rats. The owner of one restaurant serving cooked muskrat says he's lucky if he sells 12 muskrat meals a month -- but ever since the "Survivors" started gobbling rats, he's been selling 12 a week. Johnny Kolakowski of Kola's Food Factory in River View, Michigan, admits the muskrat mania is a surprise, but he insists there's no chance of a shortage. By the way, if you're cooking up muskrat on your own, he recommends sauteing it in olive oil and serving it over sauerkraut with a nice merlot.
