SWEATIN' TO THE CINEMA: MOVIE THEATER WORKOUT

DEL MAR, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Movies are getting longer than ever, so why not use the extra time to squeeze in a workout while sitting in the theater? Fitness expert Jodi Stolove claims exercising while sitting in a movie theater seat can not only keep you in shape but make you feel as if you're starring in the movie. For instance, during scenes featuring running or dancing, she suggests you tap your feet quietly in place. During car chases, squeezing an imaginary steering wheel will help build up your arm muscles. When there's a love scene, she suggests stretching your shoulders by hugging yourself or an imaginary person in front of you. Finally, if the movie has you on the edge of your seat, Stolove says it's a perfect time to knock off a few abdominal crunches by leaning back and forth in your seat.
