GOLF TOURNAMENT KEEPS UP WITH THE JONES

DETROIT (Wireless Flash) -- The phrase, "keeping up with the Joneses" will have a whole new meaning next week -- as in golf. That's because next Thursday (Jul. 13), the Bobby Jones Open golf tournament will get underway in Detroit -- but only for folks named "Bob Jones." Tournament organizer Bob Jones expects 64 "Bob Joneses" will be teeing off -- including some Roberta Joneses. With so many Bobs bobbing around, keeping up with the Joneses can be difficult so each Bob Jones must pick a nickname based on their job or hometown. Tournament proceeds will help fund research on a crippling spinal nerve disorder that afflicted the tour's namesake, golfer Bobby Jones.
