CAMBRIDGE, England (Wireless Flash) -- Travelers don't have to get down in the dumps when using foreign toilets thanks to a new book that reveals tips on overseas bathroom procedures. The book by physician Jane Wilson Howarth is titled "Shitting Pretty: How to Stay Clean and Healthy While Traveling" (Travelers' Tales) -- and it contains advice for using all types of toilets. For example, loos in Indonesia consist of concrete slabs with drains in the corner, while bathroom facilities in western Himalaya usually consist of dirt holes. Dr. Wilson Howarth also gives this tip to travelers who get stuck in the john without toilet paper: Just rinse your heinie with some tap water. She says Indonesian water closets come equipped with a faucet for just this purpose.
