MUSICIAN IS JERRY GARCIA FOR SCI-FI GEEKS

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- A Los Angeles musician is turning into the sci-fi geek's version of Jerry Garcia. Musician Neil Norman has created his own spacey niche by recording music from sci-fi movies and TV shows with his Cosmic Orchestra. As a result, the sci-fi rock star is a regular on the Trekkie convention circuit, performing ditties from "Star Trek, X-Files" and "Star Wars" accompanied by female dancers dressed like E.T.s or The Borg. Norman says he loves it because sci-fi fans are intelligent folks who buy lots of merchandise. He also claims he gets rave reviews from human-E.T. hybrids, which gives him hope his music will eventually top the charts on other planets.
