STATE HEALTH GUIDE LISTS STEAMY HOTLINE IN ERROR

HARRISBURG, PA (Wireless Flash) -- A six-year-old typographical error is causing problems for Pennsylvania women looking for advice about abortion. A telephone number printed in the state's "Guide to Services for Pregnant Women" is intended to supply information for abortion alternatives -- but the number reaches a toll-free phone sex line. Women dialing the number are greeted by a sultry male voice offering phone sex with the words, "If this is your first time, don't be shy, give it a try." The number printed in the guide has gone unchecked for more than six years -- but even stranger: Not one woman who has called the line has ever complained to authorities. A spokesman for the Pennsylvania health department says a corrected number will be printed in the directory within the next few months.
