`FAKIE' GOES TO HOLLYWOOD?

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- The original members of the 1980s-era British band Frankie Goes To Hollywood don't have much reason to "Relax" these days. "Spin" magazine reports a fake version of Frankie has sprung up in Alabama which is billing itself as New Frankie Goes To Hollywood. New Frankie lead singer Davey Johnson claims he played on the real Frankie's debut CD in 1984 and claims the band gave approval to use the name. But original Frankie lead singer Holly Johnson says he never met the fake Frankie and calls the impostors "losers." Meanwhile, the Flock Of Seagulls kicked the band off a recent tour after lead singer Mike Score realized New Frankie is a fake. He claims the group isn't even a "passable cover band" and thinks they should rename themselves "Cletus Goes To Alabama."
