CRABS TO BE SCREENED FOR STEROIDS AT CRAB PAGEANT?

OCEAN CITY, N.J. (Wireless Flash) -- The Olympics isn't the only place where athletes are screened for steroids: Crabs participating in an upcoming crab race may be checked for drugs, too. The crab race is the highlight of the 25th annual Miss Crustacean Pageant in Ocean City, New Jersey, and judges are considering disqualifying any steroid-enhanced crabs at the August 2nd event. Pageant insider Mark Soifer says officials might have the crabs tinkle in tiny cups to check for signs of steroid use. It may be tongue-in-cheek, but the 200 race-running crabs expected at the event will be trying to beat a world record of 6.3 seconds set in 1977 by a crab named "Hermie."
