WILL WE SURVIVE THE NEXT CROP OF REALITY SHOWS?

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- "Survivor" and "Big Brother" prove there's an audience for reality shows -- but some producers apparently think couch potatoes will watch anything. "TV Guide" reports that the networks are currently competing for a show called "Barbershop," featuring real-life folks getting haircuts while talking about their lives. Other reality shows under consideration include... -- "Race Around The World," where two families are given an allowance and flown to an undisclosed location. The family that reaches the Statue of Liberty first without blowing their budget wins. -- "The Flat," which centers around a male maid serving five young women in any way they desire. -- And "Since You've Been Gone," where a group of people are cut off from the outside world for a week and then must answer questions about what went on during that time.
