`SHAGGY' REVEALS THE TRUTH ABOUT SCOOBY SNACKS

BATON ROUGE, La. (Wireless Flash) -- For years, rumors of drug use have swirled around the cartoon "Scooby Doo." Well, now the guy who plays "Shaggy" is setting the record straight. It seems some folks have wondered whether those so- called "Scooby snacks" gobbled by Shaggy and Scooby were some sort of appetite-inducing drug, like marijuana. But voiceover artist Scott Innes -- who is the new voice for both Shaggy and Scooby -- says Scooby snacks are nothing more than regular old dog biscuits. He thinks the drug references only started because the cartoon is set in the drug-happy '70s and the Shaggy character is quite a hippie. Innes' latest project is "Scooby Doo And the Alien Invaders," a film which will debut on Warner Home Video in October.
