BIGFOOT BUFFS TO TAKE A WHACK AT SASQUATCH

CARSON, Wash. (Wireless Flash) -- A group of Bigfoot buffs will try to communicate with Sasquatch this weekend by pounding on trees. It's all part of the annual Bigfoot Daze celebration in Carson, Washington, where folks will whack sticks against trees to communicate with the hairy beasts. Bigfoot expert Ray Crowe says evidence suggests Bigfoots keep in contact with each other by whacking wooden sticks against trees in two-, three- or four-whack patterns. Although the creatures are supposedly shy and avoid humans, Crowe says that when they hear the whacks they can't help but respond back. He figures if enough folks keep whacking, Bigfoot might come out of hiding and researchers will be able to solve the mystery once and for all -- or at least figure out Bigfoot's version of Morse code.
