FROM D'OH TO VAN GOGH

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- The man behind Homer Simpson's voice is going from "d'oh" to Van Gogh with his own one-man show. Actor Dan Castellaneta will star in "Where Did Vincent Van Gogh," a one-man stage play that opens September 13 in New York City. In the show, he plays a stage actor portraying Vincent Van Gogh who is suddenly possessed by a mysterious entity that forces him to switch personalties at the drop of a hat. The characters include everything from a baseball player from the Dominican Republic to a ventriloquist and his dummy. Castellaneta says he developed about 20 of the characters in the one-man play by flipping through Leonard Maltin's movie book looking for interesting characters mentioned in the reviews. By the way, faithful "Simpson" fans don't have to worry about Castellaneta leaving Homer behind for the stage. He says he will continue with "The Simpsons" for as long as Fox wants.
