TV'S `JIMMY OLSEN' NOW WRITING LOVE POEMS

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Stop the presses -- The man who played cub reporter Jimmy Olsen on the 1950s-era "Superman" show is stretching out into gay love poems. The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra has just released "More Than A Day," a CD of love poems written by Jimmy Olsen actor Jack Larson in tribute to his lover of 30 years, "Urban Cowboy" director James Bridges, who died in 1993 of cancer. Although 67-year-old Larson is best known to couch potatoes as Jimmy Olsen, he's also a respected writer with many plays and operas under his belt. He admits "Superman's" success typecast him as Jimmy Olsen but he now realizes that gave him the freedom to concentrate on his first love, writing. Although some might find an album of man-to-man love poetry bizarre, Larson believes most people are ready for mature love stories -- no matter the sexual orientation.
