SHOULD JERRY LEWIS SIT DOWN DURING TELETHON?

OXNARD, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- If Jerry Lewis wants to be a good American, he'll sit on his rear end during part of his Labor Day telethon. That's according to "Men Of Leisure," an Oxnard, California, organization that complains the annual 21-hour telethon has turned Labor Day from a day of leisure into a day of housework. Men Of Leisure president Daniel Rydberg says the 74- year-old Lewis sets a bad example for those who want to avoid working on Labor Day, so he wants the comedian to spend one hour of the telethon sitting on his butt. Men Of Leisure is also scheduling a Labor Day protest called "The Million Man Rest" where patriotic Americans will sit on their behinds for one entire hour to encourage the U.S. Congress to rename Labor Day "Leisure Day."
