A LO-JACK FOR LAP-TOPS

A LO-JACK FOR LAP-TOPS

KINGWOOD, Texas (Wireless Flash) -- A Colombian-born inventor is hoping to put the kibosh on computer crooks with a new software application that tracks every move of your lap-top computer. The program is installed on the hard drive of your lap- top and it constantly transmits a signal which can be traced over the internet or by telephone if the computer is stolen. Inventor Pedro Carmargo calls it the "Stealth Signal" and claims the program can be used to track down the exact address of a computer crook. It's expected the lap-top LoJack could help cut down on the more-than-2000 daily lap-top thefts in the U.S.A. alone. The cost of the tracking system is $39 a year.
