NEW STUDY: MEAT EATERS SMARTER THAN VEGETARIANS

WAGENINGEN, Netherlands (Wireless Flash) -- A new study suggests feeding your children a strict vegetarian diet may take a bite out of their ability to learn. The research by scientists at Wageningen Agricultural University in the Netherlands shows children who don't eat meat or dairy products score lower on cognitive tests than kiddies who eat meat, milk and eggs. Researchers believe the lower scores may be the result of learning disabilities caused by a lack of vitamin B-12 -- which is naturally found in animal products. The study appears in the upcoming issue of "American Journal of Clinical Nutrition Research."
