TELETHON COULD MAKE JERRY LEWIS NUTTIER THAN `NUTTY PROFESSOR'

WHITTIER, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Jerry Lewis' behavior during this weekend's Muscular Dystrophy telethon may not be a laughing matter. Experts say the longer 74-year-old Lewis stays up, the more likely he'll suffer stress and become nuttier than his "Nutty Professor" character. Clinical psychologist Dr. Linda Yniguez says when senior citizens avoid sleep for long hours, they can become cranky, stammer and can even go off on ridiculous tangents much like Grandpa Simpson. Unfortunately for Lewis, he's so well-known for acting wacky, that if he breaks down during the broadcast, no one will know since they'll think he's putting on an act. Yniguez suggests Lewis can avoid any problems by taking plenty of naps and eating well before the nearly 22-hour broadcast.
