MORE WIDE WAISTLINES NEEDED FOR `PANTS ACROSS AMERICA'

COSTA MESA, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- A fund-raising group called "Pants Across America" says it needs more donations of extra-large pants to complete its goal of stitching a giant quilt. The group hopes to spread the word about the benefits of obesity surgery by displaying titanic trousers from folks who've undergone the procedure. "Pants Across America" has already received 110 pairs of big britches -- including one pair with a 90-inch waist. Meanwhile, co-founder Dr. Milton Owens says he's considering asking singer Carnie Wilson -- who recently underwent obesity surgery -- to donate some of her old super- sized slacks.
